Talk: ‘Children (4-18yrs) and their Health’
May 19, 2017 @ 10:30 - 12:00
Would you like to know your way in Dutch health care with regard to children from four to eighteen-years-old?
For example, what entails the Dutch preventive health care program? What screening is done for this age group? Since, once you live in the Netherlands, you and your children automatically enrol in this system.
Or is it possible to get advice in raising children? The period from 12 to 18 is challenging, especially living in a foreign country with different values.
What are the common diseases or complaints of this age group? When do I need to go the GP/ family doctor (huisarts) with my kid? What are the symptoms to look out for? Can I see a specialist (in the hospital)?
Can we get the same medicines here as I am used to in my home country? How about antibiotics?
These and many more questions will be answered by GGD Child and Youth Healthcare Physician Nanette Oei and GP Kim Baard from SGE International.
There will also be time to pose your questions.
The entrance is free but you need to register at international@sge.nl
