280 square metre wall painting at VDMA grounds

The centre of Eindhoven will be adorned with a mural of 280 square metres. The work of art is being sprayed on the façade of the former Ford garage at the VDMA grounds.

The painting was designed by graffiti artist Pim Bens. It refers to the work of the American Wright brothers, two aviation pioneers. One of the founders of Philips, Anton Philips, was tremendously inspired by the Wright brothers.

The painting should reflect the Eindhoven values of engineering and design in a creative way. It was initiated by youth center Dynamo and the organizers of the Mini Maker Faire. The latter is an Eindhoven event, which takes place at the VDMA grounds this weekend. The Faire is all about art, science, design and craftsmanship and offers workshops and exhibitions.
