Eindhoven gets bicycle brigade – ‘Fietsbrigade’

Learn more about your bike from the ‘Fietsbrigade’ (bicycle brigade) or have a custom-made bicycle made from second hand parts.

The Fietsbrigade will open its doors coming Saturday at the Ambachtshuis Brabant at Muntplein in Stratum. It is an initiative of Dwight Fabre and Rob Rooijens.

The bicycle brigade should be a stopping place where cyclists and cycling enthusiasts can go for repair, as well as do-it-yourself bike tinkering. There is always a professional present for advice or help. Regular workshops will be organized too so you can learn more about the operation of the bicycle.

In addition to the offer of used bikes the Fietsbrigade, under the name ‘Fraai Staal’ (fine steel), can make a custom-made bike, starting with a basic vintage steel bicycle frame. Following you decide the budget and appearance.
Fraai Staal selects used and new materials to create your new bike.
