TU Eindhoven has been hailed by the Keuzegids Universiteiten 2015 (guide to universities) as the best university of technology in the Netherlands for the eleventh time in a row.
In the overall ranking of Dutch universities, TU/e has also risen one place to third, behind the Open University and Wageningen WUR. Moreover, all of the Eindhoven studies score highest in their category. The Keuzegids bases its findings predominantly of the students’ assessment of the education.
Educational innovation in recent years at TU/e is bearing fruit. This the conclusion the Keuzegids 2015 came to. All eleven TU/e Bachelor study programs scored highest in their category. Six studies have even been classified as a ‘top study’: Biomedical Engineering, Innovation Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics. According to the guide, ‘TU/e leaves the other two TU’s far behind (11th and 12th in the general ranking) and puts the university among the best in the Netherlands.’
Rector Hans van Duijn is pleased with the length of time the university has been top technology university. ‘To be chosen as the best just once is already very special but to prove ourselves year in year out is hugely satisfying.’
