Brainport increases competitiveness of the Netherlands

The Brainport Region Eindhoven boosts the Dutch economy. Over the past ten years, the economic growth of this area has been 1.5 times higher than in the rest of the country, as is mentioned in the Brainport Monitor 2014.

The Monitor also shows that regional industry grew, whereas the national economy slightly shrank. The number of regional jobs in high tech and design also increased, contrary to the rest of the nation.

The Brainport Monitor is a series of annual publications in which macro-economic indicators and analyses from some 50 studies provide a coherent picture of the different dimensions of the regional ecosystem.
