Van Gogh cycle’ in Nuenen

‘Nuenen is getting a ‘Van Gogh-cycle path’ of 600 meters long. The cycle path consists of glittering stones that glow in the dark.

These stones are placed in certain patterns. During the day they load up, and in the evening and at night they light up. "That makes for a play of light and poetry" according to the artist and designer Daan Roosegaarde. This is a contemporary interpretation of Vincent van Gogh.

The special construction of the bike path is a collaboration of among others the city of Eindhoven, Van Gogh Brabant and Eindhoven 365.

Today there will be an presentation of the cycle presented at a symposium at the Dutch Design Week.
