EINDHOVEN –The man who stabbed Jack van Gerwen last year was sentenced to 7 years in prison by Court of Justice. The stabbing occurred at Dommelstraat’s nightclub Club 7.
The public prosecutor pressed manslaughter charges, but since the man used drugs and alcohol, the sentence might be less severe.27-year-old Jack van Gerwen was stabbed with a piece of glass and died at the scene. Just before the stabbing he had lifted the suspect’s girlfriend, which resulted in the fatal fight.The judge will issue his opinion in two weeks.
