A 54-year-old woman from Herkenbosch will appear in court in Den Bosch today for the alledged abuse of seven girls from Eindhoven and the surrounding area while babysitting.

She streamed the images she made live to an acquaintance of hers, a 59-year-old man from Heel. Both the babysitter and the man have pleaded guilty to the charges, says Omroep Brabant.

The abuse was discovered in June 2021. The woman from Limburg volunteered as a babysitter in the Eindhoven area. While babysitting, children ranging from 1 to 6 years old were abused. The sexual abuse was recorded and the male suspect watched live via a webcam.

The case came to light when the parents of a two-year-old child saw footage of their nursery showing their child. The child was being abused at the time. The woman was arrested the same evening and the man a day later. They are also accused of making child pornography of the sexual assaults and for the possession and distrubution of such material.

Four days

The session in Den Bosch court begins today. A total of four days have been allocated for the trial. Today, all the facts of the case will be discussed. On Thursday, the victims will give evidence. They will do this through their lawyers or Victim Support Netherlands.

On Monday 23rd January, the plea of the public prosecutor and sentencing will take place. A day later, the suspects’ lawyers will speak.
