Hermes will operate a new connection between Eindhoven Central Station and the De Run industrial estate in Veldhoven. Undoubtedly, it is expected to be of great benefit to the employees of ASML and the Maxima Medische Centrum (MMC).

“With the new line, commuters can quickly travel to work or education without many stops,” says the director of Hermes. “In time, we will also implement electric buses on this connection.”

Line 119 will run from next Monday, alongside the existing routes in 18, 19, and 319. The new line will operate during the rush hours of 07:00 to 09:00, and 16:00 to 18:00.

Earlier this year, the bus company had announced a considerable cutback on Eindhoven’s public transport due to the corona crisis. This was subject to criticism from several organisations, including the student associations, FNV, and GroeneLinks.
