Due to the extremely high temperatures, schools in Eindhoven will follow a hot weather schedule this week.

Various schools in the region have announced an adjusted timetable. On Monday temperatures will rise above 30 degrees, with Tuesday and Wednesday even exceeding 35 degrees.

At the Trinoom primary school in Eindhoven, children, therefore, have lessons from 8:00 to 12:30. Children can then stay at school and are taken care of by the team in a cool place until 14.15, after which they go to the regular day-care. Parents can also choose to pick up the children at 12:30.

Eckart College also has a hot weather schedule for the coming test week: all test times have been brought forward by an hour, so they start at 8:05 and all self-study hours have been cancelled.

Hot weather advice

According to GGZ Brabant-Zuidoost, residents must ensure that they drink enough water, look for shade, take it easy during the hottest hours of the day (between 12:00 and 16:00), and keep houses cool indoors to prevent overheating.
