Someone might have been kidnapped in Sint Bonifaciuslaan in Stratum on Wednesday afternoon.
Witnesses saw how three men pushed another man into a car. Following the incident, a call was placed on Burgernet.
The incident happened just after 15:30. A witness saw it happening at the garages behind the houses at the beginning of Sint Bonifaciuslaan. She immediately called the police, but did not notice a license plate and did not remember what kind of car it was.
A police spokesperson says that much is still unclear. “We got a report from a witness, and there was a clear conflict between three men. In the end, a fourth man stepped in. Whether that was forced or not is still unclear.”
It is clear, however, that the three perpetrators are between 20 and 30 years old and all three are possibly tanned. According to the witness description, the victim is around 20, slightly tanned, and has short curly hair.
Early in the evening, the Burgernet announced that some witnesses had reported the sighting. It is not yet clear what exactly happened. The police are still investigating and viewing camera images from the street.
