Higher voter turnout this year

More than 82,000 people voted in yesterday’s Provincial elections. This is 7,6% more than four years ago.

VVD, GroenLinks, and FvD are at the top of the leaderboard, with D66 in close fourth place. VVD received 11,499 votes and Groenlinks 10,827. There were fewer than 180 votes difference between the Forum for Democratie (9,751 votes) and D66 (9,577 votes). People were able to for 16 different parties.

The SP received 7,409 votes (9%) and the PvdA, 6,798 votes (8%). The CDA and PVV both got seven per cent of the vote. They received 5,976 votes and 5,334 votes, respectively. Partij voor de Dieren got 4,464 votes or 5%. The 50PLUS (3,563 votes) is at 4%. At 2% is both DENK (1,871 votes) and the ChristenUnie-SGP (1,469 votes).

Three parties have only 1% of the vote. They are Ouderen Appèl – Hart voor Brabant with 1,126 votes, Lokaal Brabant with 1,119 votes and Senioren Brabant with 628 votes. With only 330 votes, which is 295 less than the blank and invalid ballots, Code Oranje has less than one per cent representation.
