Eindhoven city centre without electricity after van collides with electricity box

Part of Eindhoven city centre is without electricity after a van hit an electricity box.

It happened this morning (Friday), around 10.15am on Demer. Among other shops, Dr. Martens, Schaap and Citroen are currently without power.

The van driver said that he did not see the electricity box. He also told a city police officer that the box ‘is in a very foolish place’.

The network operator has informed the relevant stores that the problem will be fixed after 2pm today.
