On the basis of 75 objects, the story of the war, occupation, and liberation of Eindhoven will be told. On 18 September, it is exactly 75 years ago that the city was released.

The Municipality and Erfgoed (Heritage) Eindhoven are, therefore, searching for wartime objects. People who have a particular, illustrative object from 1940-45 in Eindhoven, can sign up. Then these contributions may get a place in the exhibition.

The objects can be anything. They may have to do, for example, with (food) scarcity, money, prosecution, forced labour, or soldiers. Objects with a special meaning or things from Eindhoven that have ended up abroad are also welcome, the Municipality writes in a press release.

Furthermore, witnesses of the Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) bombardment of 6 December 1942, in Eindhoven, are still being sought. A movie will be made about this wartime bombing.
