Many hundreds of MBO (Senior Secondary Vocational Education) jobs in the Eindhoven region are at stake because the financial sector is digitising at a high rate.

That is the finding of the Eindhoven service provider, FiN. The expectation is that the demand for higher-skilled workers will only keep growing. These include higher qualified ICT staff.

A total of 1,300 MBO jobs are expected to fall away in Brabant. That is, according to small and large regional companies, because there are more and more things being automated in the workplace. The use of apps is an example of that. In recent years, many mbo jobs on the financial site have become obsolete.

The financial sector in the Brainport Region has some 23,000 employees.
