Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Eindhoven earlier this week. They suspect he is involved in at least three of the four robberies that were committed on Wednesday evening in the Eindhoven region.
The police are reasonably sure that the man committed the robbery at the New York Pizza branch in Burgemeester van Hoofflaan in Veldhoven. They are still investigating whether he was involved in the other three robberies.
Four robberies were committed on Wednesday evening in and around the city. In addition to the incident in Veldhoven, the robbers also targetted a gas station and supermarket in Eindhoven and a supermarket in Best.
In three of the four incidents, the robbers threatened people with a knife during the incident. Nobody was injured.
