EIT Digital Master school graduation ceremony 2018

On 24h of November, the EIT Digital Master graduation ceremony 2018 took place in Parktheater, Eindhoven. 246 students joined and officially received their master degree during the ceremony.

The EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) awarding event started at 11:30. Students, together with their family and friends, coming from all over the world, started to enter Parktheater. The ceremony started with inspirational speeches from Prof Dr Willem Jonker, CEO of EIT Digital and ir. Jan Mengelers, Chairman Executive Board of TU/e, at 13:00.

Afterwards, four alumni also shared their experiences within and after EIT life, amongst them Anna Reale and Blanca Martinez de Aragon. They encouraged students to build their own network during work and study as this appears to be valuable throughout. Everybody has its specialty, they agreed. Just as graduate Tianyu Zhou said “one advantage in EIT is that you can make use of the strong alumni network. I will surely be going to do this in my future”.

 

In terms of benefits from the EIT study, Martin ter Haak, another 2018 graduate, also shared his feeling for EIT study “EIT master school provides extra lectures, summer school experience and entrepreneurial skills, which I think forwarded me to get a good job”.

After the ceremony, the students were invited to a gala dinner and party.
