Workshop ‘werkvloertaal’ (workplace language) should help non-native speakers to search for a job

In the library in Eindhoven a workshop was given on Monday afternoon for people who have difficulty with the Dutch language in the workplace.

In this one-and-a-half-hour course, people who have difficulty understanding and speaking the Dutch language can be helped with the language barrier and how to perform certain tasks.

Different subjects
Topics include subjects such as applying for jobs, learning to understand security measures, filling in forms and non-verbal communication, when the above does not work. The meanings of qualities and competences are also discussed, which can help to identify whether a job suits someone.
