A new initiative will start in Eindhoven next month to combat loneliness among youth.
The organization Join Us and youth workers of Buro Cement will help teenagers and people in their twenties to make friends during workshops. Every two weeks youth will meet at Blixems neighborhood center in the north of the city. They will watch movies and play games there, but also learn from tutors how they can improve their self-image and their social skills.
The workshops are aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 25. Ten percent suffer from loneliness in this target group, according to Join Us.
