Flu epidemic: St. Anna Care Group cancels open day

St. Anna Care Group intended to hold its open day on Saturday 17 March. Due to the flu epidemic, this open day has now been cancelled.

With the flu epidemic still raging, letting this open day and planned activities take place was deemed too risky for patients and residents. Many employees of the St. Anna Care Group also remain ill.

This open day, which the care group organizes annually, attracted an average 3000 visitors during recent years.

‘The risk of infection remains too great. We believe it is currently irresponsible to receive so many people in our hospital. The safety of our patients and our employees is paramount,”says Ingrid Wolf, Chair of the Executive Board.

The St. Anna Care Group has decided to completely abandon plans for its open day. It will not set a new date this year.
