TU/e rises sharply in world rankings

Eindhoven’s University of Technology has climbed the Times Higher Education World Rankings in the Engineering & Technology and Computer Science fields.

The institution is in the world’s top eighteen universities for both subjects. In Engineering & Technology, the TU/e rose from 64th to 51st place, and climbed from 75th to 64th in Computer Science. America’s Stanford University topped both lists.

In the prestigious ranking by British newspaper The Times, 300-500 universities across the world were also compared in specific areas of study. The list is compiled based on 5 criteria: research, education, citations in scientific publications, international image, and cooperation with industry.
