The road surface in the city centre of Eindhoven was, according to eye witnesses, very slippery on Friday. Several vehicles slid on the slick road, and several accidents were narrowly avoided. It seems the road is covered in a oily substance, but the City Council cannot yet confirm this.
Clean-up was almost dome by the end of the day. An investigation is being launched into the type of substance.
The fluid is to be found on the roads near the Witte Dame, Keizersgracht, the Wal and at the Stadhuisplein.
