A new oncology centre opens at the Maxima Medical Centre in Veldhoven today. It is expected that the centre will treat about 3 000 cancer patients a year.
Specialists will work collaborate and work closely together in the new centre. In this way the patient will receive more than one kind of treatment and consultation in one day. This is less taxing for the patient as they can consult readily with all the different specialists.
In addition, the waiting and accommodation areas have been improved, giving more of a living room and outdoor living feel.
