Van slams into wall of Hoogstraat Albert Heijn

Employees at the Albert Heijn in Hoogstraat, Eindhoven, got quite a scare this morning.  A van drove through the wall of the supermarket and ended up in the cheese shelf.

The driver was injured and had to be taken to hospital. The shop is closed and will remain so until the situation is considered to be safe. There is nothing left of the cheese shelf and there is a gaping hole in the shop’s wall.

A specialised company will determine what repairs need to be made to the shop.
