The so-called Smart City lofts will be ‘intelligently’ equipped within the existing buildings – in this case, a large office complex.
“The housing will have an industrial look with luxurious finishes”, explains Ruud Joosten from the real estate company Bakkers Hommen Waerdevast. There will also be space for a gym and a sauna.
The 190 lofts are intended for young professionals and expats who want to rent from six months to one year. Initially the real estate company wanted to build 230 lofts. That number was reduced to 190 in order to make each loft larger.
Building will commence at the start of 2017. The first renters are expected to move in by the end of that year.
