Stadhuisplein to become greener with more sustainable buildings

The buildings around the Eindhoven City Hall will be renovated in the coming years and made more sustainable. The square will also become much greener.

The municipality would like to co-operate with contractors and architects to preserve up to seven buildings in the city centre. The council would also like half of these buildings to be energy neutral. The CO2 emissions must also be significantly reduced. There will also be more space for greenery and water on the Town Hall square.

The renovation of the Town Hall and the Town Hall tower will begin next year. After that, the needs of Mercado, NRE, Design House and the Van Abbe Museum will be addressed.
