The Maxima Medisch Centrum (Maxima Medical Center) starts with special office hours for children who may suffer from hip dysplasia. It is a developmental disorder of the hip, which young children may suffer from.

In hip dysplasia the socket in the hip joint is not deep enough, which causes the hip to easily dislocate. If left untreated, it can cause arthrosis in children at an early age. Hip dysplasia affects 1 to 2 percent of all children, and is one of the most common ailments.

During office hours at the polyclinic pediatric orthopedics, examination will be carried out directly and the results will be known the same day. Accordingly, treatment can commence directly, for example, by wearing a Pavlik harness.
