Sustainable Street Lighting for Geldrop-Mierlo

The street lighting in Geldrop-Mierlo is becoming more and more sustainable. The old lamps have been gradually, over the years, replaced by LED Lamps. This week, on the Laan der vier Heemskinderen, 46 old lamps will be replaced by LED Lamps.

The old lamps could only be switched ON or OFF, resulting in more light than required. The LED Lamps, on the other hand, can be dimmed; thereby, saving on electricity and reducing CO2 emissions.

Just by replacing these 46 lamps, the Geldrop-Mierlo municipality, will be saving electrical power equivalent to three complete households per year.
