The car driver had to elude an oncoming vehicle while driving on a sharp turn. Since she was blinded by the sun, she did not see the bicycle rider, which bumped into her car’s windshield and landed on the road.
As a result of the collision, the bicycle rider incurred various head injuries. The victim was placed on a stretcher by the ambulance personnel and rapidly taken to hospital.
The road is currently used as a detour route for the Europalaan, which is, presently, being rebuilt.
