Van Breukelen new technical director KNVB

Hans van Breukelen will be the technical director of the KNVB (Royal National Football Association). He will be appointed to the post as of July 1st, 2016.

The old goalkeeper of amongst other teams, PSV, has as its mission to elevate football in the Netherlands to an even higher level, at both the amateur and the professional level. He will also be responsible for development of talent and training.

"A challenging assignment in a time when Dutch football has a lot of potential for success", says Van Breukelen, as per website of the KNVB.

As of 2010, Van Breukelen was already part of the board of PSV. A post he will vacate so that he can start as the technical director of the KNVB.

Van Breukelen together with the national team won the 1988 European champion. That same year he also won the Europa cup I, as part of PSV. Other than PSV, he also played as goalkeeper for FC Utrecht and Nottingham Forest.
