Housing corporation Woonbedrijf wants to change the Aireywijk in Genderdal, together with the residents, into a sustainable neighbourhood. Over 200 rental properties will be renovated.
Last autumn 14 sustainable homes and 68 sustainable apartments were already completed and leased. Now it’s the existing 226 rental houses turn.
In all homes the roofing will be replaced, the roof isolated, the facades cleaned and joints restored.
But the residents themselves can also choose how to make their home more sustainable by for example insulating walls and floor.
The festive completion of the new buildings and start of the renovation is next week on Wednesday, March 16th.
