Observatory open for 40th National Stargazing Days

In the coming days the observatory in Eindhoven will be opened in honor of the 40th National Starsgazing Days. This is an annual event for astronomy fans who enjoy observing everything happening in the night skies.

During the opening hours tours and presentations will be given by volunteers of the observatory and members of the Eindhoven Weather Astronomer Circuit (REWS).

If the weather permits there will also be several large and small telescopes set up next to the observatory, focusing on the Moon, Jupiter and the Orion Nebula.

The Dr. A. F. Philips Observatory Eindhoven will be open on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 March, from 20:00 to 23:00. About 60 other locations in the Netherlands are also participating in this event.

Admission to the observatory is € 3,00 for adults, € 2,00 for children, and the outdoor activities are for free.
