“Ergon gain large Chinese order to make televisions”

Ergon has acquired a significant order from a Chinese company. The Eindhoven social work company is going to do the assembly of 100,000 to 180,000 television sets for the West-European market, the ED reports.

The deal is remarkable. The past decades the European companies moved their production to China because it was much cheaper. The Chinese company HKC is now doing the opposite.

According Ergon HKC finds the deal of interest because the place where the televisions will be assembled is located near the main office. The Chinese group is also not satisfied with the quality and price of the current production in Poland. Ergon not only offers a good price and accessibility, but also plenty of storage facility and production forces, according to the social work business.

The two parties have now signed a deal for two years with an option for extension to five years. They start with an output of 6,000 to 8,000 television sets per month.
HKC has 8,000 employees and besides televisions also make webcams and computer equipment.
