Eindhoven takes action against delaying train connections to Germany

The city council of Eindhoven should take action to prevent postponement of the fast train service with Germany, according to the coalition party D66.

It seems that Germany does not give the fast intercity line between The Hague , Eindhoven and Dusseldorf any priority. The plans of the German cabinet are not until 2030 to establish this connection. D66 thinks this is much too late, and therefore is calling the city council to take action.

Earlier this year the mayors of Eindhoven , Monchengladbach and Dusseldorf pleaded for a fast train service. They say the intercity train connections are of great economic importance.
