PSV midfielder Andreas Guardado will not play against NEC on Sunday. Trainer Cocu does not want to take any risk as the Mexican is restoring from a hamstring injury, reports De Telegraaf.
Guardado is a key player for PSV, and the club therefore desperately needs him in the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid in two weeks. The midfielder is recovering quickly. Yet Cocu would rather reserve him now in view of the coming weeks.
PSV probably cannot count on Lestienne on Sunday as well. He has already started training, but has not yet fully recovered from a calf injury.
Guardado got injured in the league game against De Graafschap late last month.
