Eindhoven to attract new large shopping chains

Eindhoven would like to have new large shopping chains in the city centre. This should make the city centre more attractive for shoppers from Eindhoven and surrounding areas according to Economics Alderman Staf Depla.

Eindhoven would like to get new large shopping chains. The municipality will use a special taskforce of civil servants to attract the large chains.

In the last couple of years, Primark, Zara and TK-Maxx set up shop in Eindhoven. A great achievement, but Alderman Staf Depla does not want to sit back. Eindhoven has to remain the Shopping city of the South and should not weaken its pull as ‘the shopping city’

Shops like Forever 21, Urban Outfitters and a larger Apple store should be part of this picture. However the smaller and innovative chains are also welcome in Eindhoven. They both fit the image of the city, according to Depla.
