9000 euros for Topsport for Life winter camp

Topsport for Life in Eindhoven has been awarded 9000 euros by Stichting Roparun as a contribution towards a winter camp for terminally ill cancer patients.

Topsport for Life aims to make the lives of seriously ill people, and the people closest to them, a little more bearable by organising sporting events.

"We are happy to be able to contribute to the important work being done by Topsport for Life", said directo Michael Beenhakker, "We may not be able to cure people, but we can try to make them feel a little better."

Since 1 August last year, Roparun has donated 2.5 million euros to a total of 90 causes.

The 25th edition of the Roparun, a relay race of more than 500 kilometres, from Paris and Hamburg to Rotterdam, starts this year. More than 8,000 runners, cyclists, drivers and carers collect money for cancer patients with this sporting achievement.
