Homeless people cooking for visitors during DDW

Homeless people will cook for Dutch Design Week visitors in Section C.

They are collaborating with cooking studio Van Abbe Kookcultuur to provide lunch and dinner dishes. Van Abbe Kookcultuur took up the initiative from previous DDWs.

Giving homeless people the chance to meet with the business community in an informal setting, the cooking initiative hopes to help with improving their lives and providing direction.

There was also a celebration Monday night for the Eindhoven football team that won the Dutch Street Cup. Made up of former homeless individuals from Neos (social relief organisation), Leger des Heils (Salvation Army) and Sint Annaklooster (St. Anne Convent), the team hope to re-integrate into society though sport.
