Pursuit at 200 kilometres-per-hour through Eindhoven

Two suspects of a theft were arrested after a high speed chase this morning. Policemen saw a car driving on the A2 motorway near Eindhoven around ten past four. One of the officers recognized the car from the week before, when he had wanted to check it, but the drivers managed to escape.

This time the policemen tried to check the car once more, but the occupants fled the scene again. At speeds reaching up to above 200 kilometers-per-hour.

The driver took the exit to the A58, after which the suspects’ car engine probably broke down. The vehicle came to a stop and the occupants fled on foot.

After a short chase the two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested. A number of headlamp bulbs and car navigation systems were found in the vehicle. The sat nav equipment is believed to originate from a theft.
