Main entrance Catharina Hospital temporarily relocated

The main entrance to Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven is relocated temporarily. Visitors cannot enter via the revolving door anymore. Instead, they are required to walk to the temporarily alternative main entrance.

During the past months of rebuilding and renovations, the construction site surrounding Catharina ‘Ziekenhuis’ grew bigger and bigger. Eventually resulting in having to create a new temporary replacement to the main entrance.

The new part of the hospital, which is currently being built, will house the biggest Heart Centre of the Netherlands.

Furthermore, a new entrance hall containing shops, a restaurant and an espresso bar are being built. Due to the building of the new Heart Centre, the old building will have more space to create additional single rooms for patients.

The hospital has already placed a sort of golf cart at the disposal of patients and visitors who experience walking problems, in order to transport them to the entrance. Visitors may also continue to use the shuttle bus that will bring them to the new temporary main entrance.

The Kiss & Ride Area and the taxi stand have already been moved to the entrance of the parking lot.
