Tongelreep closed after metal bolt fell from ceiling

The Tongelreep wave pool has been closed after a metal bolt, from the glass roof construction of the swimming pool, fell down from the ceiling.

As a result of this the pool will remain closed for several days, as a thorough inspection is necessary. The doors will be opened again after the inspection has been completed and all is safe.

However, the competition pool in the Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium will remain open. During the inspection, and if the weather allows is, the outdoor swimming pool of the Tongelreep will be open to accommodate the visitors.
