Complaints about noise pollution caused by the railway in Tongelre

The city of Eindhoven needs to fight noise pollution in Tongelre, the opposition party CDA wrote in a letter to the city’s executive Board.

Residents of the Hofstraat are complaining about the noise, mainly about the squealing brakes of the trains. They say the situation is unbearable. The CDA wants to know whether the municipality has undertaken any noise measuring tests and if it is going to take any measures against the noise.

The CDA also pointed out potential gaps in the process for the municipality to communicate with local residents about the situation.
