A motorcyclist was wounded yesterday, following a collision with a car at Ekkersrijt industrial zone.
The accident occurred at a road junction. The motorcyclist came from the right and apparently did not receive the right of way from the car driver. As a result, the car and motorcycle collided and the motorcyclist fell on the road.
An ambulance arrived at the scene, treated the wounded motorcyclist and took him to hospital. The car driver has issued a statement to the police.
It is still unclear how serious the injuries of the motorcyclist are and what his present status is.
