Public Open Days: Military Demonstrations at Ketelhuis

Approximately 6,000 soldiers are participating in the Ground Forces Public Open Days today and tomorrow. This time, not only will the army bases be open but also the army personnel will ‘visit’ the civilians.

This approach has been chosen because the Royal Dutch Ground Forces celebrate their 200 years of existence this year. Therefore, in 200 locations in the Netherlands Dutch Military personnel will talk about their work. They will demonstrate their activities and will let the civilians ‘experience’ their work.

At the Ketelplein in Strijp-S, military personnel will also be active. They will demonstrate their activities and present the vehicles that they use. There will also be sport activities for the youth.

Tomorrow, there will be also military troops active at the annual Phoxyday – the annual PSV mascot (the fox) day. Their mission will remain secret for the time being. The Phoxyday will take place at the PSV Stadium tomorrow afternoon celebrating the 15-year existence of the PSV Mascot.
