Saturday, thousands of children -and their parents- welcomed Sinterklaas at the Eindhoven Markt.
This year, he did not arrive by boat, but rode through the streets of Eindhoven on his white horse. Mayor Van Gijzel welcomed him at the Markt.
Sinterklaas’ arrival is also the start of the ‘Fijne Feestdagen Festival’ (Happy Holidays Happening). On 13 December, an ice rink will be installed on the Markt and a stage in Piazza Center will be hosting all kinds of entertainment during the holiday season.
