TU/e team to take electric racing car to World Championships

An electric car designed by the student team URE from Eindhoven University of Technology will take part in the Formula Student on the Hockenheim circuit in Germany from 31 July.

This is the unofficial world championship for student racing teams. The team from Eindhoven University of technology will pit their electric car against 39 other teams, including one from Delft University of Technology. Both teams tested their cars for the very last time on Saturday on a former airfield in Katwijk. The students designed and built the cars themselves. It is not the first time that Eindhoven is taking part in a race for electric cars. The team is among the top ten in the world when it comes to designing and building electric racing cars.
