DAF loses market share in Europe

DAF had to give up some shares on the European market this past quarter. This is evident according to quarterly figures from DAF’s parent company, the American PACCAR.

After the first six months of this year, the market share for heavy trucks was 15.8 percent. At the end of 2012 it was still 16 percent.The PACCAR has also made less profit in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, with a decrease of 1.9 percent. Sales fell by 3.6 percent to 3.26 billion euros.
