MMC Eindhoven reopened

The renovated Maxima Medical Centre in Eindhoven was officially reopened Thursday afternoon. Renovations had been taking place in the hospital since last June.

The hospital has a new main entrance and main lobby. Other renovations are still ongoing, including a number of outpatient clinics, wards and outdoor areas. The renovations are intended to give the hospital a fresh and modern look. The cost of the renovations are approximately 20 million euros.The renovations mean that MMC complies with safety and quality regulations again. Mayor Rob van Gijzel unveiled artwork in the entrance hall of the hospital. MMC expect to have completed the renovations in a year.
