If it’s up to PSV, Mark van Bommel can re-sign for another year. If the captain of the football club is fit enough he’ll be playing for the club – which this year celebrates its 100th birthday – next season.
Van Bommel previously played from 1995 to 2005 at PSV, after which he joined various foreign clubs. After being abroad for seven years – playing successively at FC Barcelona, Bayern Munchen and AC Milan – van Bommel came back to PSV this year and signed a contract for one season.The midfielder was in action this season in 20 matches, in which he scored three times. He also bought attention to himself on a number of occasions by receiving yellow cards.
