Dutch suspect of Vestdijk assault released

The two suspects in custody for the Vestdijk assault who were being detained in Eindhoven have been released conditionally.

The boys aged 15 and 17 are banned from entering Eindhoven and are duty bound to go to school and make themselves available for future questioning. 5 other suspects from Turnhout have appealed against being handed over to The Netherlands. The Belgian judge has delayed a decision on possible extradition by a month on Tuesday. A 22 year old man from Oirschot was severly assaulted in the beginning of January on the Vestdijk in Eindhoven. He was left for unconscious on the street.
